My hubby & I have been together 12 years – when we got together – drinking was our hobby. 12 years later (and 1 child) is STILL is. This can’t be good for us. I swear we have nothing else in common though! I have got to find something that’s a bit more healthy that we can get into together!
I keep mentioning suggestions to him – and he laughs at me. I don’t want to be the 60-something couple at the bar getting wasted. (atleast not ALL the time ;) We both love sports – but we can’t play ona team together b/c someone has to watch our son. any suggestions???
I have always lived with a small amount of debt… a bad habit to get into and a bad way to be in a recession! But 2008 brought unexpected hardships and a downturn in the economy put me into WAY more debt than I feel comfortable.
Luckily – I still have good credit. This has enabled me to get a few 0% interest credit cards to help pay off those high interest cards. But I have a long way to go. I downloaded one of those great Excel Debt calculators and really hope I can stick with putting a large chunk of my earning towards these debt-monsters. I also need to stop impulse buying and learn to live within my means (WAY harder than i imagined). I took out cash at the beginning of this month and put into envelopes so we can see where our money is going (and stop spending once it’s gone). This is consuming all of my time and energy though. It’s ALOT of work to budget!
It makes me sick to think of the thousands of dollars I have lost making stupid financial decisions, paying interest, etc. I don’t want to live like this anymore!
and now i am not. Nothing is more important than muscles as we age and I vow to not be a bent over old woman! I haven’t seen the inside of a gym in over a year and need to take steps to change this. I also want to set a good example of physical fitness and athletics for my son. :)
