Lovely entries everyone. In addition to the quotes, experiences and philosophies, I’m going to insert my own life lessons. I just heard the phrase every day is either a blessing or a lesson. In my quest to ‘truly live’ and enjoy the last throes of summer, i’ve learned this lesson:
You can’t recreate the past or try to script the future. Serendipity, spontaneity, being in the moment, that’s where its at.
Over the weekend I tried to recreate an early summer memory revolving around making new friends, drinking red wine with them, listening to music on the patio and having deep conversations late into the night. Candlelight, flirtations, different perspectives, hope for a long fun summer. It was magic.
I shoulda known better. Same cast and location but basically we got drunk, annoyed each other with those ‘different perspectives’, and pretty much were just sad that summer is gone. Still though, I guess it counts as living and learning to really appreciate those good times and be fully engaged in that moment.
Plus I also learned that men are jerks. =o)
This is a perennial summer goal well worth doing. The sensation of waves or ripples skimming over your naked body is amazing. Chills just add to it. Plus it feels just a little naughty but not at all taboo.
