My sister-in-law’s dad gave me a great lesson in jazz theory and piano on Saturday. I’m working on the blues, jazz blues, and II-V7-I progressions.

How I did it: I took a one-semester course at Pittsburgh Filmmakers with Gordon Nelson and produced a short film. Gordon is a good teacher with a deep love of film. Read how I did it…
I can’t remember what I was going to confess. I’m guessing it was my love, but it seems so irrelevant now. Looks like I’ve written enough songs to get it out.
Whew… this is a hard movie to watch. If you cannot stomach extremely graphic violence, do not even think about viewing this.
In some ways, it is two films in one. A love story and a horror film. I don’t wish to spoil the movie with too much description, but I can talk about the production. The writing, editing, acting and directing are excellent. I would compare the pacing with the best of Hitchcock. It all adds up to one of the most powerful films I have ever seen.
