i finished my first page! super exciting
GREAT GAME! i bought it on sale on a whim because i vaguely remembered playing Suikoden II a long time ago. Probably play this again and i just bought III.
worth doing for me because i’m a fitzgerald fan and have been ashamed of not reading this before. interesting for me because you can definitely see his development as a writer as well as a person (due to autobiographical nature). however, as a piece on its own, it’s true that it’s not as good as his later works. at one point i almost put it down as not worth finishing. i would say worth it for fans, not necessarily as a “good read” though.
as always, woolf’s ability to describe characters and their emotions is incredible. as always, i get lost in her stream of consciousness sometimes. but i think that’s supposed to happen/is normal.
virginia woolf… incredibly observant writer. a book about isolation and how people reach out (sucessfully or not) to the ones they love… i don’t think there are many writers out there who are able to articulate relationships and individual thoughts the way woolf can.
