I am currently reading a book called Manifesta, it is about the history of feminism, and the agenda of modern, “Third Wave” feminists and what they are doing to improve the quality of life. It really teaches you that feminism not only encompasses the equality of women, but also people of different races, religions, and orientations. Feminism is about reaching a more universal equality. For instance, even though some women are now doing “traditional men’s roles”, these are still considered “men’s roles” AND when a man decides to stay at home with the kids, he is still the “Mister Mom”, rather than just “Dad”. I highly reccomend this book if you are interested in the human condition or if you are just looking to expand your mind a little bit.

Is this bad?
Maybe thinking of the glass as half full isn’t such a bad thing. For a while the glass wasn’t half empty, it was empty for me. I mean, I’ve finally been able to be okay with me, even the lofty, idealist, way to nice and caring me, as apathetic as I try to be. I always see the good in someone before I see the bad, this is just me. It’s like my gift and my curse. I always used to identify with St. Francis when I went to Catholic School, though, I AM IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM A SAINT. No, I am only human…
