How I did it: It's not that hard, it just needs to be integrated into your daily routine. My girlfriend nags me if I don't, so I do it.Other things to try include the use of public guilt/shaming, workout partners, a gym less than two blocks from your dwelling or moving to a city where everyone is active outdoors. The key for me was to remove unnecessary distractions by lining up projects that I want to complete. Now I just work on my projects and read in my spare time, leaving little time to waste.
A good job makes it easier

After getting an interesting and busy job, I don’t really have the time to fool around online like I used to. I find that I am more productive both at work and during the free time that I do have.
