After 7 months of biweekly phlebotomies (“donating” 500ml of blood per time) I got my iron level down from 1700 to 27! Goal achieved! It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done!

I found the reason...
why my joints are aching so much.
I have hemochromatosis: iron overload. Iron builds up in the cells and damages organs, joints and tissue. The only treatment is by frequent phlebotomies until the iron level is low again.
I’ve started treatment and feel that I cna lick this.
And yes the accident did have a major hand in this, but my joint pain was more than that.
