I am working on an honours BA in linguistics and psychology right now with the goal of applying for graduate programs in speech-language pathology. I’m being careful to get all my prerequisites done and I’m making use of available services at school to make sure my grades stay up. The next step is building a relationship with professors whose research interests relate to the field. I really want this!

Began cognitive-behavioural therapy at 10, continued with that on and off for eight years. That helped in many ways, but the change has to happen in you. You have to tak… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Party with girlfriends, several drinks in, decided to jump in the pool. Someone threw the idea out there and soon everyone was in their birthday suit. It was dark, which is great for self-conscious teenage girls. Everyone felt awesome. Your naked body becomes a lot less of a scary big deal when you're surrounded by others that are like it in many ways and differ in some. Read how I did it…
I did this with my family several times as a kid, as well as one 6-week Ottawa->San Diego->Vancouver->Ottawa trip. It is the most amazing experience. If you ever have an opportunity? Take it. Seriously.
I want to do it again, possibly with my boyfriend, but it won’t be any time soon. I only have a learner’s permit and I’m working on an undergrad degree. When I’m done school, I really want to give it a shot.
