Went out to a trip, thanks to Nilesh. I started using the manual mode and have taken few hundred snaps. Not all of them came out well, I underexpose or overexpose it most of the time. I realized having DSLR is a luxury, click away to glory and check and retake image, delete bad images :D Need to discipline myself.
