sit in on a day of highschool teaching
Sit in on a day of teaching 2 years ago

Yesterday I spent the entire day in a highschool classroom watching a good friend of mine teach. It was an extremely valuable experience given that I was considering applying for Teacher’s College in the Fall. I am no longer considering this option. Now I am certain that I will apply! If you’re considering applying for teacher’s college and know someone who is a teacher, I highly recomend doing this.

start a toonie jar
Start a Toonie Jar 2 years ago

(for those of you who may not know, a toonie is a Canadian 2 dollar coin) I’ve decorated a big ol’ pickle jar and fashioned a slot in the lid that’s just the right size. Now whenever I have a toonie I’ll fling in it the jar and see how much I’ve saved when it’s full! My brother had a giant toonie jar that added up to $1200 at the end of two years. We’ll see…
