I haven’t been abroad since I visited my Dad in Florida in July/August 2005. I think I deserve to have some fun so right now I’m saving up so I can go abroad and have some fun!!

In November ‘07 I was diagnosed with cancer of the larynx. Bit of a shock seeing as it’s most common in men over 60 and I’m a woman and 18! Tumour was too advanced to operate on….T4N2. They gave me a choice, removing my voice box (no thanks!!) or intense chemo and radiotherapy. I opted for the latter and here I am 4 months later – I’ve had 8 cycles of chemo so far and I have two more to go. I also have 12 radiotherapy treatments to go…I can’t say it’s been easy. It’s been pretty sh*t to be honest but I can look back at this ‘journey’ and know that it was all worth it.
