I thought I was getting a tax refund and had it all spent in my head. Unfortunately, I made a mistake and it turned out I owe! So no pretty Jonathan Adler light and Pottery Barn rug for me right now.

But I did manage to rearrange my closet this weekend. That was free.

And I’m spending $3 on ribbon for bulletin board decoration, but that’s allowable.

And hanging the photos I have: also free. Then I plan to fill in the holes on the wall o’ photos with black/white images I’ve found online: should be just the cost to print at Kinko’s. Also allowable.

Reupholstering and restuffing the couch: I’m afraid to get the quote. Won’t be allowable, I’m sure.

finetuning my plans... 6 months ago

I have my Yoga Booty Ballet DVD—it’s nice to have that for mornings when it’s tough to get out of bed. Runyon takes just over an hour; the DVD takes 45 minutes. I want to start doing this DVD 3x a week – or to the point where my butt isn’t sore every time I do it. There’s a reason ballerinas don’t have flabby bums.

So when my cat curled up on top of me this morning (which she hardly ever does) I was able to sleep for a blissful extra 15 min without disturbing her.

I’ve hiked Runyon twice this week—but not yet in the AM before work, as was my plan. So easy to think “I’ll just get up an hour and a half earlier”, so hard to actually crawl out of bed in the morning.

I am going to try VERY VERY HARD to go to bed early, so I’m not struggling to get out of bed after a couple of hours, because I just won’t. But if I’ve had a good night’s sleep, it should be much easier.

So…this week’s goal is to go to sleep at granny-like times, so that I can hike in the morning!
