I attempted this earlier this summer – it was a disaster. It wasn’t anything like what I remember when I was helping my mom as a kid – she made it seem easy… I ended up with jam splattered all over the kitchen – the fridge, the floor, the ceiling, me! It was quite the disappointing experience – an awful lot of effort for a very small payoff (5 half-pint jars of not so good jam). Try again next summer!!!

Tonight, I met a good friend for dinner at a small Italian restaurant in our city. We decided that we need to go to Italy together. It’s good to have a goal! Time to start saving!

I’m trying to lose weight, get in shape, etc, and I’ve done pretty well so far, based on a heck of lot of cardio. But, I despise strength training – it bores me to tears!!! I just can’t bring myself to do it! I know, though, that I need to incorporate strength training to tone up, continue the weight loss, and build bone strength. This is a tough one for me.
