6 ziplines and 2 canopy bridges..fun times! I’m afraid of heights so the bridges were definitely a challenge but I did it :) The tour takes place in the hills of Santa Cruz in the redwoods. The ziplining is something i’ve done before but it was great doing this thru the redwoods! I was able to rent an hd video camera that I wore on my helmet so i could take video of our tour. The whole tour including the training and getting our equipment on, took about 2 hours. The guides were terrific and we all had a good time in our group. Would definitely do it again!

How I did it: My cousin, who is a correction's officer, came for a visit and she showed me how to handle a gun (hold, load and shoot). She owns a Glock 40 cal which was not too difficult to hold since it isn't a really heavy gun. We went to a shooting range, my first time, and I was able to do everything she taught me to do, all on my own. Shooting the gun for the first time was a little intimidating but once I took the first shot, it… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Drove up to Universal Citywalk and steps away from the parking lot is iFly Hollywood. I was able to buy a LivingSocial deal for both my stepdaughter and myself, which included free valet parking and a DVD of our flying experience, besides our two flights each. The instructor showed us a short video and talked to us about the signals he would use and what we should expect when we entered the wind tunnel. He was a great instructo… Read how I did it…
How I did it: While in Belize, we signed up for the snorkeling trip at our hotel's excursion desk. The boat took off first thing in the morning and we headed out to Shark & Ray Alley out at the reef. As soon as we got there, we looked in the water and there were a bunch of sharks. Have to admit that I was a bit intimidated but I knew it would be fine. Jumped in the water and saw lots of sharks and stingrays and even had the … Read how I did it…

A very nice experience and not as scary as I thought it would be, considering i’m afraid of heights. Went out to Temecula and spent the night in a hotel since we had to meet the hot air balloon crew at 5:30 in the morning. Once we met up with them, they drove us out to a winery where we watched them inflate the balloon and then we climbed into the basket and off we went.
It was very calm and peaceful up in the balloon. I thought it would be a little breezy but it wasn’t at all. We layered our clothing and had to remove our jackets because of the heat from the heated burner but that was just fine, and it was more comfortable without all of the bulk.
It was an absolutely beautiful morning in Temecula so it made the balloon ride an amazing way to start the day. The pilot was great and he landed the balloon without any issues, a nice soft landing in a huge field.
All in all, it was a great experience and I would definitely do it again, although, if I go again, i’d like to try it in another location so I can see another area.
It was an absolute blast. Have been wanting to go for years after hearing my husband talk about it. Finally had my chance this past weekend and went with a group of family members and friends. FUN, FUN, FUN!!!! Will definitely be going back to do it again!
