Once in 9th grade I told a boy to “Shut the hell up” well in driver’s ed. This won me an overnight suspension, two day of in school suspension and a 2 page paper on “Appropriate Language For A Young Lady” to be turned in to the Assistant Principal.

Yeah, never wrote that paper and I’ve been swearing up a storm ever since. I know how horrible swearing sounds and how people think I can’t use my words, but it’s become more of a habit than a way to really express myself in a moment and that sucks.

I’m one of those people who doesn’t like to let it go. I know that it’s toxic and for the most part I’ve gotten over all of the really old grudges but there are few lingering ones that continue to pester me and I want, rather, I need to let go.
