it’s been 2 weeks since we’ve used a microwave oven in the house. over the weekend, we took another step in eliminating our dependence on the microwave by storing the microwave in the garage. if the “out of sight, out of mind” saying is true, we may not even notice its absence too much. perhaps actually cooking things will become our habit.

i really want to give up my dependence on the microwave. of course, this means that all of my meals at work will be cold since they don’t allow any other food heating methods. hm.
user brickhorse wrote an entry about turning off the water while lathering up in the shower. i tried this once and it immediately made so much sense! this is how my showers have been lately. it’s colder (not as much steam in the bathroom to warm it up), but i’m managing so far. thanks for the suggestion!
