I’m presently working as a cashier at Albertson’s. It’s not my first choice but it is a job! The first paycheck was very, very gratifying (and I have something to do now besides sit on my butt and smoke cigarettes.)
Rock on.

This might be the most worthwhile thing I’ve done with my life so far. The prospect of living sober was a terrifying one; it’s a decision I couldn’t really make on my own. My family performed an impromptu intervention on me, and I went to rehab (it helped me immensely; I do not, however, consider it a necessary step towards sobriety).
After rehab, I went into a half-way house and chose to attend 12 step groups on a regular basis (there are alternatives to the 12 steps, but again, this is what has been working for me.)
At present, I am just shy of 90 days clean and sober; this is the longest period of time I have maintained sobriety since I started drinking and using. The fears I once had have been replaced by my new coping skills and ability not only to live sober, but enjoy life in the meantime.
Definately worth doing.

I’ve had a moped for over a year now, just for driving around town (to and from work and school). I’m so glad I got my motorcycle licence. It was simple, convenient, and cheap.
I pay a pittance for gas and enjoy driving.
Go for it!
