Taking out the stock and shares bit of my ISA this year, pretty well timed for the bottom of the crash, we’ll se what happens.

Have learnt to drive (kinda important first step).
Have done a mini road trip in Canada, but only 1/2 day of driving, but had map and SUV and no set plan, so had a bit of the spirit.
Been to:
California & Arizona (with Ruth and Brian)
New York, New Jersey, Connecticut (when visiting Gran and on hols)
Philidelphia (when visiting Chris and for tax-free shopping)
Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts (after Luba’s wedding)
Maryland and Virgina (when working in DC)
Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio (on train trip)
We got trashed again at WHRR, summer 2008. Damn them, beasts. It also was pissing with rain, but cleared up after the race so we had plenty of time to clean the mud off and drink Pimms.
Still working on this. Picking up bits of strategy here and there, but still need to play more.
So I did this for a year. It’s really, really, really hard. Interesting, especially the history of the characters. But I think you’ve got to have a lot of time to practise to get any good.
Just used what I’ve learnt at work for this first time…finding characters to go in an ad. Cool feeling. It’s hard to keep up over summer without classes though. Need to do more revision before next term.
...off next month for a couple of weeks. Going on Amtrack from Seattle up to Vancouver (for one night!), back through Seattle to Chicago on the sleeper. After a few days, hop back on the train to New York. Final stretch will be down to Philly.
Been wanting to do this for years. Love trains, and watching the landscape and towns fly by. You meet crazy people on trains too – always entertaining.
Had the first exam at x-mas, still waiting for results. Getting harder, especially with work being crazy. Harder to find time for homework.
