This is my first entry, but after reading Yatata’s one I have to say something!
I’m guessing first of all that you are not a Christian.. consider it… it’s the best decision you’ll ever make.. not to mention a vital one!
But the crux of this is that over population is a myth. Why do I say this? You just have to look at the pro-creation statistics of the nations to realise that most of the world’s nations are imploding!! That is right… China for instance has an average birth rate of 1.4, Korea 1.2 (the lowest of any nation), Australia 1.7 etc… That means for each woman in that country 1.2 etc children are born. So think about it logically.. if 1 billion people in China are HALVING their ‘persons’ by having one child between two in the next generation there will be HALF A BILLION people and so on and so on!!!!!!!!! How can anyone believe that we are over populated!
YES children are starving to death.. but it not lack of food that is the problem. It is lack of equality in resources amongst nations…
And history has shown that the bigger the population the more efficient and economical the food production is. For example look at America, when it was first settled the Native Americans were few in number but were on the verge of starving! There are now millions of people in America and they are far from starving! More people = better farming etc.
Anyway, you can believe what the world tells you but ‘as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord!’ and that includes having lots of children. They are a blessing not a curse.
