I made the decision a few years ago to take a bus drive from El Paso to Washington. Turns out that if you don’t make reservations until the day before departure, your trip will more than likely take a week.

Luckily, I was in no hurry, and so I was able to visit a bunch of places and even detoured in Phoenix for a week, where I ended up helping set up a Slayer concert at the Mesa Ampetheater. God, what a blast!

Maybe next time, I’ll just do it a city at a time… And with a credit card, too.
