I borrowed “The Meditation Handbook” from the library and read it.
It was very informative, and gave instruction on both breathing and reflective meditation, and provided a lot of information about Buddhism, its beliefs and practices and where to find more detailed information.
I’ve meditated a few times using the book’s instructions, and I feel like there had been a marked difference in my temperament and mindset.
I found a copy to buy at Borders, and will be pickin it up soon so I can refer to the book whenever needed.
a lot of my friends are vegetarians, and they all say that they feel much healthier after they stopped eating meat.
I also saw this movie that showed baby chicks getting abused and it broke my heart.
I already don’t drink milk because I’m lactose intolerant and I don’t eat eggs (unless they’re in a recipe)
I’m going to try to cut beef out of my diet completely, then move onto pork and then chicken…
let’s see how this works.
