So I FINALLY went up to Timberline and paid for the package of three lessons which includes equipment rental. I went up with a friend that also wanted to learn to snowboard and we just had lesson #2 the other day (3-9-09) and it ROCKED!!

Lesson #1 was hard! It was scary and the snow was packed so it was VERY slippery and freaky. I knew that falling on that packed snow would hurt too which made me even more scared. Lesson #2 was the bomb!! It was super blizzardy and the snow was snowy, powdery soft! I wasn’t afraid to fall because I knew it would be soft which I think helped my confidence and I kicked butt! I hope it’s this easy for lesson #3! :o)

I really love snowboarding – it is so much fun and I can’t wait for lesson #3. We also have a really great instructor, Andy, who has been awesome and patient. He is a really good instructor and a bit goofy which I like about him.

So, I am FINALLY enrolled – I figured out that finishing my degree online is the best option for me in SO many ways! My first class starts August 26th and I am SO excited to finally complete the hard work I started so long ago. This is one of those things that you can keep putting off and keep putting off – next thing you know 5 years have passed and you’ve put it off for 5 years!!! More to come but the biggest step has been taken…...

SO, finally! I’m sitting around doing a search and think, why not, let’s try searching her name just one more time. And something comes up – it’s on Classmates. I sent a message – it’s her!!! She sent me an email a few weeks after my original message so I had to be very, very patient.

Since then I have written her back and then she responded with a very long email that has probably enough details to catch me up on what she has been up to. I really have missed her over the years and to “hear her voice” is so wonderful!!

I can finally cross this one off my lists – I’m not sure how long it’s been on here but it feels like FOREVER!!!!! Glad I found you Jami Motta! :o)
