One of my best friends and I did this when we were about 20, before we had husbands and kids. We both had a day off from work and had planned to get together but didn’t know what we wanted to do. We decided to just get in the car and go… somewhere. We then decided to let the flip of a coin determine which direction we would drive in, and our quarter led us to Yosemite National Park. It had snowed a few days before and it was absolutely gorgeous. No one was there. It was one of the most perfect days ever.
