I’ve been working pretty hard at reaching this goal, and I am now within about $65 of reaching it!
Then comes the photos, listing, etc. but we’ll take this a step at a time!
Today I brought a little over $70 to deposit, and then my tenant arrived and brought me $1000! With those two amounts, we’ll be past the halfway point! So thankful. She says she’ll bring me another $1000 soon, too. If she keeps making regular payments (of any kind), we’ll reach our goal in no time! Plus, we’re almost ready to go get our taxes done- that will take us above and beyond. Then it’s a matter of building up our emergency fund again, and making extra payments on the smaller credit card! Thank you, God!
I deposited another $25 (from my bank of america points rewards) and so now the total is around $3759. Our tenants are SUPPOSED to be giving us around $2000 sometime in the coming week… here’s hoping they come through on that as that will be a big help in reaching our goal.
I need to make room in my bedroom for baby’s stuff… if that’s not motivation, I don’t know what is! So, I’ve begun reading magazines cover to cover only tearing out the stuff I really think I will refer back to. I’ve recycled 3 so far. I have two more to do on the table at home, but won’t count them until they are in recycling bag.
Working on a deposit for next week. We have at least $40 to put in. We’ll see how much we can add this week.
I also want to invoice our tenants. They can really put this goal in motion if they get their butts in gear! Tired of being owed money, but nice to know that when it comes in, it’s going to help us immensely on our financial goals!
I thought, for some reason, that I had 27 more to go… so that’s what I did! That brought my total to 1,007!
Yay! Now, I can focus on my other goals, and also start reading and recycling whole magazines. Lots of those to get rid of still. I can bring one or two to work at a time, and whittle the collection down.
another 11 done. Bringing me to 966 with 34 to go!
If I didn’t have plans tonight, I’d finish this before bed, but alas this’ll have to wait until tomorrow.
I’m scraping together what I can… I want to make deposits (of any size) at least once a week. So far, I’ve done two this week.
This time, it was $40 in cash, and $31 in rolled change for a deposit of $71.
Total is now: $3699.41
Will keep plugging away to reach the halfway point! We CAN do this!
I just deposited $75 and that brings us to:
$3628.41
Leaving: $4371.59 to go.
We’ll be doing a lot better once tenants make a payment to us, and once we get our income tax return(s). Also hoping our escrow analysis nets us a gain of ANY kind. That’ll happen on the 18th. And, right now I’m doing a ‘pantry challenge’ and trying to spend as little as possible at the store. We were spending WAY too much at the grocery stores, and accumulating food (some junk) and it was taking over our kitchen. Time to get control and plan, shop, eat much more intentionally. And we can save huge that way! It does take some work- it’s almost like taking a small part time job that I can do from home and make my own hours. The pay is equal to whatever I am able to save by my planning and cooking. Truthfully, it has been pretty fun and is making me more creative with our meals. I think the boys are even liking it so far.
Lastly, I’m getting some coin wrappers and will deposit what I’m able to wrap up.
