I’m upset with myself because, since I’ve moved to a smaller mountain town, I’ve been riding my bike almost daily…and then the last few weeks it’s gotten cold and I’ve just stopped and I’m feeling yucky.
I think I am borderline diabetic, type 2. My father, aunt and grandmother all have it and I just feel like something is off. I’ve been conscious of what I eat, as far as carbs go, but it’s really hard. And sweets are difficult for me to say no to, especially this time of year.
I feel like all of a sudden, this past week my body is revolting to the way I’ve been treating it. I’m sick today with a head cold, my mid back was killing me yesterday, and I feel like I’m gaining weight again.
I am obsesssing. I need to just relax today and get to feeling better and then I can start working out again.

How I did it: I got a lot of books on knitting from the library, got a bunch of yarn, from a local yarn shop, where the lady who worked there told me which kind to start out with, and then I looked up a lot of how to's on youtube.comI know how to cast on, purl, garter, and bind off. Nothing fancy yet, but I can make a scarf. Now, I'm learning to read patterns. Read how I did it…
We have moved to a smaller town where it’s easier to do this, because there are less corporations around, though that’s changing. I’ve been really trying to keep my money in my town, by shopping locally. Though, I had to get groceries the other day and spent $300 at Walmart, which didn’t make me happy. This is an ongoing goal.
Well I did it. It was okay. I don’t know that I would go again until I’m like too old to do anything anymore. I will say it was extremely relaxing. And it was still relaxing despite taking our 3 kids. I got to read a lot. Bring a book if you go. And it was
