Last year I successfully volunteered to help decorate a rose parade float. The problem was, I volunteered in August, and even though I dutifully wrote all of the instructions down, I lost the location address by the end of December. I called the float sponsor but they didn’t seem to know what I was talking about. How can you lose a parade float? Maybe I’ll have better luck this year.

How I did it: I made it from a pint of heavy cream. I started it in the blender to see what would happen, and discovered a new, faster way to make whipped cream, but at that point the blender got stuck. Anyway, I transferred the whipped cream to a bowl and continued with a hand mixer. After about 5 minutes it looks like scrambled eggs mixed with water. The water and the curds don't mix. Then you know it's ready. Then you transfer the curds to a strain… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I decided out of nowhere that I wanted a masters degree. I wanted to do this for educational purposes only..."life learning", I guess. This wasn't going to help me with my career. I found a degree program at the same school where I did my undergrad. I liked that it wasn't an online program...I'm kind of old-fashioned and feel that it's not a "real" degree unless you sit in a classroom. I don't know what I was… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Got rid of the TV set so it is impossible to view network TV. I now only watch TV on DVD or through digital downloads available on Netflix or Amazon. Read how I did it…
