I adopted Bonnie from a shelter just before last Christmas (2006), there were so many dogs abandoned during the holiday season because people were going away and couldn’t be bothered to kennel them or find suitable caretakers. What a shame, all the dogs were so lovely and had nothing wrong with them, just ran out of novelty for their owners.

Bonnie is the loveliest dog I have ever met, likes to rest her chin on people when she wants a pat and full trained with all the usual commands! She had her fur pulled a lot by young children and gets really thingie about it, we have fully gained her trust now and she is such a great dog for us, likes lying on the couch, going to markets and pottering around the house. We love her to bits!

Wow I ended up buying a house with the man of my dreams :) Still trying to get used to having my own space and doing what I like.

There is a sense of peace when sitting in my backyard and looking at the things I used to dream of doing that I can now do, when I get to it!

Amazingly liberating and you wonder what to do with yourself because your life was previously ruled by having to make as much payment to your credit card debt as possible.

Also a great sense of accomplishment and maturity.
