How I did it: I did a 10 week course with Adelaide comedian Dave Flanagan, at Comix Comedy Cellar.In the course we went through all the basics of doing Stand Up (about comedy, writing, editing, stage and microphone technique etc.) - while at the same time, writing and working on our material.Then the graduation was a performance in a packed comedy club (in front of real, paying people.) On Friday I’ll be graduating from the Adelaide Comedy School and performing about 5mins of Standup at Comix Comedy Cellar.
I’m both nervous and excited. After going through the 10 week course I think I’m pretty well prepared.
