How I did it: Well, we drove there through the GORGEOUS and PRISTINE Cascade mountains on a slightly snowy day. How I did it: All that I had to do was find a good roommate--someone that I not only could live with but also someone that I care about. I got a great job that I love, and that made me able to pay rent for a year. Also, it was great to just have a place to come home to.
