well i been writing songs for a good long while, singing at the piano, done a couple of open mics, and got really into producing electronic dance music, electropop, dancepunk, spacefunk, & i love it. However, i really want to perform live with a band. thats a big dream of mine that wont go away!
I was in the library today and picked up a book by bill drummond who used to be in the band the KLf, who i loved when i was growing up. It was scary though, cos he’s now talking about how ubiquitous recorded music is, and how really the future it about making music live, and that surely does excite me.
So there are quite a few steps to this one. Get my tunes online and start the search for some kindred souls to collaborate with..

isnt it true that if you’re in your personal power and integrity, then your voice is strong clear & sounds .. pleasant? I’m a singer music maker, and i know that if I strain, if I’m not feeling good when i sing, then its like ouch that sounds horrible. But if i’m smiling a deep big smile right from my diaphragm, then it sounds ok. someone said as a performer you’ve got to sell your pleasure, not your pain, even if its a sad song..
I’ve done it cold turkey a couple of times, but then got swayed by stressful situations, friends & the odd night out. I’d rather not use patches or whatever cos then you’re replacing one addiction with another, right?
Its a quesion of saying ok today is the day, but i keep saying, maybe tomorrow. But i guess I’m not prepared. Like its helps to change other habits too, get more exercise, drink more water, meditate, write a journal…
