when i challenged myself to this goal, i had no idea that my mother would die and my life would go into a tailspin. i am giving myself more time to complete this goal, because i have worked too hard to give up on my novel. in fact, i don’t know why i said i would give up on it. a bit rash, i think.

after my mother died recently, i really felt the need to reconnect with two of my estranged friends. i realized how important it is to say the things you need to say while you have the chance.
reconnecting with them was a little awkward, and i don’t know if we’ll keep in touch, but it was worth doing.

after seven years or so of carrying a hefty credit card debt, i am finally free!! i sleep better at night knowing that i don’t owe anybody anything. it’s an incredible feeling, and i don’t ever want to be in debt again!
