I was a Christian up until last year. My younger sister died a few years ago (December 13, 2002) and it actually strengthened my belief in God and Heaven, because I wanted her to be there. But now I just don’t know anymore. The more I think about it, the more I realize that it’s just not possible. I guess my scientific background (and my Ancient Near Eastern Studies major) changed my views. In my gut I really don’t believe in anything (I don’t think), but in my heart I want to believe in Heaven at least, because I want my sister to be there and me to meet her there when I die.
