I’ve been teaching now for several years, have a life here, a house, loans/bills/mortgage, and all these are going to get in the way of this goal. That’s OK though. I’m still happy with the way things are unfolding.

How I did it: All I do is make sure I have some free time to myself. It's not so hard to squeeze in a few hours a week. This may not be as much as my 10 yr old self would have like to find out I was playing, but it's enough. I still get absorbed for a week or so when I get into a good game, but I have learned to save new games for when I know I have a large space of free time in my schedule. Read how I did it…
How I did it: My life came to a point where everything seemed to be working out in my favor. I have a fulfilling job that I love and am happy doing, I know I am making a difference, my living situation is comfortable, I have people who care about me, and I have just come to realize that if this isn't living, I don't know the definition of the word. I do exciting things, like when I recently jumped out of an airplane, my yearly snowboarding … Read how I did it…
How I did it: I did it by not forcing something that wasn't there with some girls, and being patient with one girl. Honestly, I never thought I would meet a girl I was crazy about. I've been through plenty that I would walk away from or just give so little attention to that they would leave. I was totally indifferent. I was beginning to feel like I was lacking an emotion that others possessed. I had already admitted defeat a… Read how I did it…

So I have come to realize that this goal will never happen. I have moved out of my parents’ house several years ago and bought my own place, which is a condo, so I can not build my own pond. Oh well. I guess it’s out of my control.
Well I have donated over 3 gallons of platelets since February (which I find gross because I imagine it in milk jugs). The staff members all know me on a first name basis and I actually started pressing buttons on the machine (not with to their approval), the last time I visited. I have been going weekly or bi weekly, excluding two months where I had a second job. I think it is now safe to cross this off my list. I will continue going as I have been, and already have next week’s appointment scheduled.
