I’ve stopped using my credit card at all and got a debit mastercard so I have no excuse to use my credit card. I’ve set up a regular transfer to a savings account for the last few months, so every fortnight when I get paid $200 has been going into it automatically(totalling about $1300 now). I got my tax returns done for the last four years ($2200) and I’m getting a $900 cash government economic stimulus package. Altogether, this will mean I’ll pay off my credit card in one go ($3800)and now I’m working 5 days a week in stead of 3, so I can save up the money I used to pay off my credit card in no time. Just waiting for the tax return to be put in my account (which should be tomorrow), and the stimulus comes a week later.

In australia, any man who has had sex with a man or person who has had sex with a man who’s had sex with a man is not allowed to give blood. Now this is regardless of their sexual health, all gay and bi men or anyone else who has had sex with them are forbidden to give blood. I think this is so stupid, when there are people who fit this criteria out there with healthy blood that some people desperately need. They spend so much money campaigning for people to give blood.
They wouldnt need to so badly if they didn’t restrict people from giving blood for no good reason.
I don’t support the ban, but I don’t want someone to miss out on my blood because of that, but on the other hand, I want to make a point out of not giving blood, so that people will start to pay attention to the ban and realising that australians oppose it.
