Is getting audio tapes such as Pimsleur that supposedly claim you will be able to be fluent within 10 days worth the money? Or are audio tapes in general worth it?

Being less awkward is all about doing everything with conviction and not half way. For instance, I was really uncomfortable with having eye contact with a person I was talking to, but I’d tell myself I have to do it, so my eyes would usually wander from the ground to the person’s eyes for a millisecond and then back to the ground. And also when speaking, I would kind of mumble because I was afraid that what I was going to say would appear stupid. Just think that, even if it isn’t true, that it’s really hard to be a loser if you’re not trying to be. That every word out of your mouth makes people impressed by the way you are. You also have to learn to not be embarrassed by your actions. Just move right along and don’t overanalyze things or make a joke out of it by pretending you did that to be funny. In other terms, you need to be confident, but everything I said before this sentence makes it a little easier to do.
I’m very excited on working to become an actress and my high school play is opening up in a few weeks. I love the rush when I’m out on stage but I must admit that I’d prefer to work on film because it’s a lot more real to me rather than making everything ten times more big for the live audience. One of my acting pet peeves include people who are in it to become famous. You might as well quit if you’re expecting to automatically be an A-lister because you were seen on a few commercials a couple of times. Sorry sweetie, but no big time union agent is suddenly going to see your talent and beauty and sign you just like that. What I’m saying is, act because you love it and not because of your desire for attention.
