I had my gallbladder removed a little more than two weeks ago.
I had a diseased gallbladder with no stones.
However, I am having extreme difficulties recovering. I spent all yesterday in the hospital with intense horrible pain similar to a gallbladder attack. My liver enzymes have rose causing me tons of pain and nausea.
I am only 20 and it turns out, after contacting my surgeon, young women between the ages of 19 and 21 have been known to have a very hard time recovering from this type of surgery. He told me it can take up to 6 months.
I am in the middle of a college semester and this health problem has really truly effected my grades.
I am trying to focus on recovery and becoming fully healthy again.
I want to be able to eat solid foods again and eventually feel normal.

I am currently a junior studying Studio Art with a concentration in painting, and a minor concentration in clay. Art is the definition of my life. It is all around me always and I could not be happier.
I feel this goal is continual process of hard work, perseverance and remaining true.
I need to continue to remind myself of that.

Even Still...
It lurks always. It is unmanageable, uncontrolled and it creeps up on me so often.
I have slipped back into old habits. I wish I could be normal in this aspect, but it seems impossible. I still want to work on being healthy and stop causing myself damage… but we all know what it’s like.
Once it takes you, it seems unstoppable.
