I ended up buying an established purple basil plant a potting it and loving it, and away it went! So very successful! Its a bit like cheating, but I guess I didnt ever specify how I was going to grow it in the goal. I did give it a very fair effort tho – from seed and now as a plant. I reckon its done!

How I did it: I spent 4 weeks in Norway over the 'sumer', but be warned, summer is a pretty vague concept in Norway! Rains ALOT. The first few weeks I spent WOOFFing on a sheep farm and loved it! Then out into the wilderness and the rain. Only did the southern area, as its an extremely ex;pensive country,. BUt you can do it wisely, buy your food inthe supermarkets, think about where you are going, walk around the citys, and take the bus for long trips. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Just the decision making part took about two days... the actual desire to do it has been there a bit longer.Any way, Turkey is for sure the place to hot air ballon! Cruising ofver Goreme was pretty neat!! Read how I did it…
How I did it: Have been waiting on this one for quite some time. I have to get a BC licence so that i can leagally drive etc and whatnot. Of course there are lots of papers and things that have to come from home to here to get it all in line, and basically to cut a very long frustrating story short, its now done. I should get the actauly licence b y the end of the week. done. Read how I did it…

Driving the ute to a from work! Yus. Not far but its on public roads – not busy reads, but I’ve gotta start somewhere!
One little step at a time!
In our new place we have taken over the ‘window boxes’ (they are on the balcony..) and have planted them up with tomatoes! There are some little flowers and even the start of some fruit on the vines! yippee! The basil os growing strong, like the parsley. The corriander has been a fail, but will leave in in the ground and wait to see what happens.
Every little bit at a time! One day I will have a fantastically producing garden!
