I called my “virtual high school” on Tuesday and got answers to all of my questions. They do accept assignments in MAC word processing file types, so I signed up for Creative Writing. The course was $499, no tax, so I could pay for it on my credit card. I haven’t started working on my it yet, but I have been lurking around the website. Navigating the website is more difficult than I thought it would be, but I think I have a great teacher. Some of the other students are really smart and that is intimidating. Yay! I’m doing it! I want to wake up early Saturday morning and start my first assignment. Hopefully I can make some headway this weekend. I need to make some sort of schedule for myself, so I get this done quickly.

I tried to fix my broken laptop, but it was going to cost more than I thought it was worth, so I got a brand new iMAC financed at futureshop. Now that I have a computer again I can complete high school online. I arranged to have the vacation pay I have accumulated over the past six or seven months payed out too me with my cheque tomorrow. I also receive my GST cheque in the mail today. That means I can pay my phone, hydro, medical service plan, and credit card bills in full and have $500 to start one of two high school courses I need to complete. I need to call the virtual high school tomorrow and see if they accept MAC word processing file types. I don’t know too much about this sort of thing. I’m not sure if this is going to be an issue. If it is, I need to buy Microsoft Office for Mac and that is $200! Maybe I can download it on Lime Wire. If this isn’t an issue, I can pay for my course right away, but I will be living on a tight budget for the next two weeks. Good thing steve is buying groceries this month! I will probably have to charge some things to my credit card, but I will try not to spend more than $100. I need to choose which course I would like to take: Studies in Literature, Writer’s Craft, Studies in Current Economic Issues, Canadian History, or Studies in Canadian Politics. AHHH! I’m not sure what I want to do. Writer’s Craft seems kind of neat and I would probably be good at Studies in Literature. Studies in Canadian Politics and Current Economic Issues are university level courses to, but I’m not sure if they will look as good on a university application. Not that it really matters because the university I am going to doesn’t really care what your marks are like. I hope this works out. If not I will have to start at the beginning of next month because I have to pay my rent too!
i cleaned my entire apartment on sunday with the exception of our bedroom because our mountain of laundry and piss artist of a kitty cat has made that room require extra attention. by doing this i have discovered:
a. i spilt milk behind the microwave months ago and it gets very crumby under there.
b. it is easier to clean when you have help, which i should ask for more often.
c. your help doesn’t like when you nitpick about the way they are helping you.
c. when you are used to being total scumbag, small tasks like washing your dishes after you use them and scooping the cat box feel like big accomplishments, therefore, by keeping a clean house i accomplish several things each day.
d. i can have friends over at anytime without feeling embarrassed or explaining why i live in bachelor like conditions.
this week i am going to try to:
a. clean up before i go to work, after i eat, and before i go to bed
b. do one load of laundry or more every day until i am caught up
c. do the dishes once a day and scoop the cat box twice a day
d. sweep the kitchen and bathroom floor once a day
e. take out the garbage as needed
f. clean my bedroom (carpets, bedding, closets)
