I love it! I really love it. One of the cool things about Oklahoma is the rain. It doesn’t play around down here…when it rains it pours! The house is quite, the animals all made it in safe and sound, all five cats and two dogs. I never meant to end up with so many cats but Cinderellie, the momma, who was pregnant when we got her, had six kittens and so far we’ve only found a home for one. I just can’t bear to take them to the pound. So, here I sit. Never in my wildest dreams did I see myself turning into “The old cat lady”. Wow, but so-be-it. I just got done wrapping Sweet Sarah’s b-day gifts. I’m getting ready to work some more on her “Indian Girl” costume. I can’t think of one other thing I’d rather be doing or anywhere else I’d rather be. It’s official… I’m screaming again!

How I did it: I typed it all up in MS Word, inserted the pics, emailed it to myself and printed them up at the folks house. MM is going to go and post them at the local cafe and the convienant stores around our house. Hopefully, we will get some responses and get some more money coming into the house. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I have learned from my mistakes. I have tried to do things better. I have, in turn, tried to pass those lessons on to the children that were that were awarded me (as I like to think of them). I must say that the ones that were born to me, my eldest I should say, that has got the short end of the stick, so-to-speak, because I was so young and such a HUGE idiot when I had the opportunity to have the biggest influence on he… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I took the long way into 43things.com and checked out the frontpage in order to see the random listings of the "what do I want to do with the rest of my life lists of the patrons of 43things.com. I would pick a person off of that page to notify. I gave the date and time that I saw them and tried to share some excitement with them. Only four of them even replied. Read how I did it…

He’s been working pretty steady for the last three weeks. (thank you God!) We went and got all of sweet Sarah’s b-days gifts and had a wonderful day together. I decided that I would swing by Sue’s after bringing Kacey home from school. Since we are down to one vehicle I don’t get to see her very often anymore. Once it was time to go I discovered that all I wanted to do was to go back home again to be with my family and enjoy the nagchampa that my sweet husband bought me today. Yeah, I’d say we are doing better! Woo-hoo!
and I’m roasting the sesame seeds we grew this year. My whole family, old and young, love them. Those and the pumpkin seeds I do every year. (yes, I relish in the delight they get and the constant “these seeds are the best ever!” and “I wish Halloween came more often!” ) I just let the dogs out for the last time tonight and walked straight into a herd of deer. They love the acorns our big, beautiful oaks drop every year. I’m going to miss being surprised by deer. I’m going to miss the big birds.
October has been anything but mediocre. We are going to make the most out of the precious time we have left on this beautiful land. We are going to have warm fires and lots of laughter and Poppy wrestling with the kids and picking leaves out of everyone’s hair. raking up the leaves and picking all the marigolds heads for seeds next year. We are going to collect seeds from all our favorite flowers and trees we’ve come to love so on our land.
We are going to have all the holidays here as a family this year. I don’t want to miss a moment we have left here. The biggest surprise for me this month is the peace I have. I am not melting down because of the loss of such a life-altering dream. I AM letting go with a smile on my face, a tear in my eye AND peace in my heart. I am thankful for that both new and fulfilling experience.
