First of all, I should say that I’m a terrible dancer. Really.
During Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2011 (July 1-10) Signe Frydenlund of danseglad.dk did open air swing dance lessons outside Copenhagen Jazzhouse. One night was dedicated to learning a bit of 20s Charleston, solo, which I discovered was much more suited to my talents since I avoided all the horrible ‘treading on your partners toes’ stuff! I had a great time, and came back for a few more lessons!

Since making this resolution (around turning 30), I’ve lived and worked in several countries – Spain, France, and Denmark/Sweden. I’ve loved it – it might have only been for short periods (just a few months at a time), but it’s been long enough to get to know the town or city, make some really good friends and really enjoy myself.
I hope I get to add more places to the list!

I returned to Archaeology, and I’m so glad I did. The pay might not be great, but I do enjoy the work (even when it’s raining!), and I’m most definitely proud to say I’m an archaeologist.
