to play the waiting game. we both know it’s going to happen; every day he gently nudges me to settle on a ring. i’ve finally found the one that i want, and i’m going to tell him as soon as i can be positive that i won’t wake up one day and hate it :p when i was a little girl, i dreamt that my engagement would be a surprise, and would completely catch me off guard; here i am a lot more realistic and a little wiser years later, and not only is it not going to be a surprise (thankfully though-i have learned that i am not the kind of girl that takes kindly to being taken aback), but i know the exact date. the anticipation is killing me, and makes me believe that expected or not, the day he proposes will be one of the best days of my life.

So, I made eye contact with an older gentleman at the mall a few days ago.
I gave a polite(small)smile.
He just stared at me.
And though I know I’ll probably never see him again, or anyone else that this happens with, the thought of a repeat really unnerves me.
This is getting so frustrating. Yeah, sure I’m losing weight; but I’m going about it the completely wrong way, as it’s the only way that’s worked so far.
Sure I’d like to be a little bit thinner. But I’m not in this state of total unsatisfaction with myself and I’m compromising my health.
So maybe the end doesn’t justify the means.
