I’ve been doing this a lot more, on and off, for the past few months — enough that I’m considering whether I should check it off. Obviously meditating should be a habit, something that happens regularly over a long period of time, not something that happens just once, so checking it off is a little counterintuitive to me … but I think the point of adding this as a goal was to get myself back into the habit of meditating regularly. I think I’ve done it at least once a day about 50 percent of the time for the past six months or so, and maybe a quarter of the time on average over the entire year … so I’m waffling over whether to check it off. Maybe I’ll feel more like it later today or just later, but for now I’m leaving it un-checked-off. ;)

How I did it: Tried to teach myself from free information online, but none of it was coherent enough for it to really gel with me. So I ended up applying for an online diploma, and in our intro to programming class, we learned PHP. YAY! Read how I did it…
How I did it: Happened across the Web site for Sweetwater Organic Community Farm and noticed they were down the street, so when I quit my office job I decided we needed a guaranteed source of fresh vegetables and a reason to eat them. I spent some of the last of my final paychecks on the CSA membership and it's been completely worth it so far. Trying new vegetables is awesome, and fresh organic veggies last a lot longer in the fridge than store-bought. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Looked up recipes for fish ball soup on the Internet and noticed it was simple but easily customizable, so I bought some fish stock concentrate (Better Than Bouillon brand), threw it into 4-5 cups of boiling water in a pot, threw in the frozen fish balls, diced tofu, some halved garlic cloves, a bit of salt, some five-spice powder, a little bit of ginger powder, and simmered with the lid on until the fish balls had swelled up, then added … Read how I did it…
