I submitted my inquiry at www.bbbs.org this evening! Hopefully, someone will get back to me on Monday. I’m excited… I want to make a change in my life, so I’m going to participate in more volunteer work. I feel like it will make me a better person… and a happier person!

pay off the lawyer (read all 2 entries…)

The lawyer is paid off. Now we get to meet with him on June 14 to finalize everything and get the paperwork moving. This will be really good because I was really starting to stress out about all the mean phone calls from collectors. I was hesitant to file for bankruptcy, but I know that this will serve us well. We’ll get a second chance. I feel like we are on our way. :)

My mother sent enough money to pay off the lawyer. Unfortunately, we don’t know where April rent is coming from. It is so tempting to use the money for rent, but I feel like if we don’t pay off the lawyer now, we never will. I mean, it has been almost a year since I paid the retainer fee. Gotta get these collections people off our backs. But we do need a place to live. So confused, upset, disappointed, worried, etc…
