After some organisation, me and a friend headed off on the Eurostar and finally got round to visiting our dear friend on Ghent :) I like the place, very chilled out, lots of character and great bars and cafes everywhere and food places. Yum.
He finally came to play in the UK after what I had practically given up as a lost cause. But no, my friend texted me telling me about the gig at the Water Rats in London. So down I went.
He played Sometimes which I requested, and after I was semi peer pressured (haha) to go over to say hi. So I did. He was genuinely very nice as as much lovely as everyone else has ever said about him.
The live show was simply amazing, bootlegs don’t do it justice, even when I didn’t know his solo material as much as Ours songs, I couldn’t help but be captivated in awe.
