I lived there for nearly a decade after growing up in the midwest. It’s AWESOME! I left to come out west, and now I really miss it and want to go back!!

I was depressed for like, 6 years. I refused to deal with it. Finally, my family helped me get some help for it, and I spent around two years on anti-depressants, and they helped me a lot. I have been off them for a couple of years. It’s a seratonin re-uptake inhibitor, and it fixes a chemical imbalance, and there is nothing wrong with taking medication for it; it’s like any other disease you’d have and take meds for. It’s worth trying, anyway, IMO.
My best friend and I swore we’re going to take a roadtrip, at some point after she comes home from the UK. She lives in Canada and we’ve never met in person. We met online on a message board in 1997 and have been chatting, emailing, snail mailing and once or twice talking on the phone. We promised that the road trip won’t just be one of those things we keep talking about but will actually DO it, and by GOD we’re so going on that road trip!!
