How I did it: I had two months to prep for this. So I worked out daily with all the gear on my back. I hiked at the highest setting on a treadmill for 1.5 hours at a low and comfortable walking pace. This helped me pace myself for going up the hills. It also helped me pace my water intake so that I could make 3 Liters of water last.Two weeks before climbing, I added upper body weight training to this. How I did it: First thing, you need to figure out what your goals for redesign are. Two years ago, mine weren't clear. Then I finally sat down and discussed what I wanted from a domain. Then I figured out what CMS package I wanted to use. I have Wordpress running my site, with plugins that allow me to post to my other areas online. Best decision ever. I didn’t set out to climb Mt. St. Helens this year. Until a friend mentioned it and I decided that YES, i had to climb her. She’s my favorite mountain and active volcano and we had less than 2 months to prep.
It was a humbling, terrifying (due to rocks and visibility on the scree), and amazing experience. And one that I won’t ever forget. On the drive back down to cougar all I could think was, “I just climbed MSH, an active volcano. If I can do that, I can do anything.”
After hemming and hawing about what to do for an etsy store, I have just done and opened my store. Currently I’m selling custom tarot cases on innowen.etsy.com. I plan to add handmade books and kindle cases soon.
But it feels so good to have the store open.
Well, it’s been a long time coming but I finally finished this goal. Yesterday, I taught my Inspiring the Muse with Tarot class to a room of 30 enthusiastic tarot people. Many people came up to me afterwards to let me know it was a rip-roaring good time and I did great. I’m still riding the high from being bold enough to put myself out in front of everyone and share what I know with them.
