How I did it: First thing, you need to figure out what your goals for redesign are. Two years ago, mine weren't clear. Then I finally sat down and discussed what I wanted from a domain. Then I figured out what CMS package I wanted to use. I have Wordpress running my site, with plugins that allow me to post to my other areas online. Best decision ever. Story in Ravens in the Library 5 months ago

This isn’t exactly getting a whole novel published but I am getting a story into a book, “Ravens in the Library”. It’ll be out later this month and my story sits alongside stories done by Holly Black, Neil Gaiman, Charles deLint, etc. It’s a first BIG step in the right direction.

Until then, I’m working on editing TOUCHED for possible publication.

It's done! I have a new domain 5 months ago

Wow, after how many years of having this on my list, I can now say that it’s done. As of today, my new domain is complete. I decided after taking a class on publishing/marketing a book to switch to Wordpress. So that’s what I’ve done.

It’s all integrated and runs and is more social. What I wanted when I was using Moveable Type just wasn’t going to cut it. I’m excited. Go see!

own all the choose your own adventure books (read all 2 entries…)
giving up isn't always a bad thing 10 months ago

As part of my decluttering goals, i’ve decided to give up the idea of owning all the choose your own adventure books. They cost money, take up space and just would not bring me as much joy and happiness as I originally thought. Yes, it’d be cool and geeky to do this but… that’s just it… they’re cool, geeky and taking up precious bookspace that could go to more tarot books or writing books or the books I want to write myself.

I’m not disappointed. I’m happy that I’m focusing my attention on what really DOES seem to matter.
