It really makes all the difference in the world when it just feels right to work, when you truly want to think and reason and write.
Thank you for the good feeling; here’s to its long continuance!

Chris, thank you so much for your passion for philosophy, which is truly inspirational.
Thank you that you’re so able to re-energise me with enthusiasm when I thought all hope was gone.
Thank you for unwittingly reminding me of the joy of studying, of education, of academia. Thank you for not giving up on me, even when I let you and myself down.
Thank you for steadfastly, consistently recommending books to read, methods of working, styles of writing. Thank you for your honesty, for admitting you don’t know the answers. Thank you for valuing wisdom. Thank you for acknowledging when I say something worthwhile. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you for you!

...which was so hidden I forgot it was there.
So inspiring to see some clear space again.
Thank you!

Edit Oops, wrote this yesterday but forgot to publish, so you get two for the price of one today :)

Found my passport today, I think it’s a sign!
It’s quite energising getting rid of stuff and finding stuff I’d forgotten I had or thought I’d lost forever.
If you tend to amass clutter, you’re not alone! Let me know and we can support each other. Edit See my latest entry for some help: Speedlinks: Decluttering

I love that it’s infinitely extensible, I love that it’s infinitely customisable, I love that it’s so easy once you learn massive chunks of it. :p
I love that it’s so valuable and yet it’s free.

...and for other staple foods, especially bread, pasta, rice.
Some foods just really agree with you. They taste good, but they also taste good for you, wholesome, nutrious.
I’m currently eating roasted new potatoes. So simple, so yummy.

So versatile.
Find new friends, connect with people across the world, write about it, have people comment about on it all, find information…
Right now I’m so thankful for the Internet allowing me to make new connections, because I really value human contact.
I’m also thankful for the ability to organise and share my goals and such with things like TaDaList.com and 43things.com.
Plus, I love blogging at inspirewithhope.com!
Thank you!

How easily I can manipulate my moods simply by listening to different music! Can’t control how I feel? Nonsense!
I love music!
I especially love happy-go-lucky music that makes me want to dance. Do you know of any such music that it’s legal to share around? I would love to listen and share with my readers at All Things Bright, so do let me know. Just email me: music(at)inspirewithhope.com
Sometimes it feels like there’s no time, like there’s not enough time to get everything done. Then I feel like, what’s the point of trying?!
However, when I’m calmer, I realise there’s enough time to do everything important if I just get on with it.
So, here’s to getting on with it! :)

I love smiling, much of the time it can make me feel warm and gooey inside, even when I’m feeling grey. Smiling really is addictive; just looking at a picture of myself smiling makes me smile!

I love those flashes of light that strike when I’m reading or daydreaming. Had quite a few of those moments yesterday; ideas buzzing in my head. Brilliant.

Okay, so the attack seems to be over; should be at the end of all hosting worries and site unavailability.
Thank you for your patience, much appreciated.
Why not celebrate the new stability of the site by commenting on my latest entry? I love being a student because…

Going to get some now.
I love sleep, wrapping up in the warmth of sheets, shutting out the world, spending time in my own head, dreaming or falling in to blank, comforting darkness.
Mmm.

Thanks to these I actually manage to complete my essays and on time too! Phew.

Without words there’d be no books, no literature, no fanfiction. There’d be no conversation, no satirical news shows, no wit.
I love writing. I love formulating the stuff in my head in to coherent sentences and sharing it with others.
I love reading. I love skimming articles for the meat. I love delving in to brilliant content. I love curling up with a book, in bed.
I love talking. I love the cut and thrust of philosophical debate. I love chatting. I love spending hours on the phone. I love making people laugh.

Or, Why I went to three different Starbucks coffee shops
I was looking for comfy sofa chairs.
It’s also the reason why I considered paying way over the odds for Internet access, even though I can get it free at my university library.
I did find sofas eventually and accomplished much work; it really does make a difference to me, especially when accompanied with a toffee nut latte and mince pie.

I have a vivid imagination.
Not long ago I was despairing because I thought I might have lost it. But actually, it’s stronger than ever. I’ve even been experiencing inexplicable mild hallucinations. But that’s not what I was going to share. Rather…
Last night, I had a conversation and I woke up wondering whether it had really happened. It was so unexpected, surreal and utterly like a waking dream; and yet so vivid. I’m still in two minds about it; it inspired some poetry and a short story, so either way it’s great. :)

I’m grateful for birthdays because my friends and family make me feel extra special on my birthdays (which I really appreciate, especially as am starting to feel old sometimes (I know, I know, tis madness)).
It’s not all about the presents either. I can be quite materialistic and I’m trying not to be. This year, I spent my birthday with one of my best friends and spoke to many more of my friends and also to my brother, whom I haven’t spoken to (aside from IMs and email) for three months. (I miss him so much).
Anyways, am rambling, but I’m really grateful that I have at least one day a year when I feel super-special, like I’m the most important person on earth and the world revolves around me!
...and now, back to reality. :)

Each day I’m going to write about things for which I’m thankful.
Today, I’d like to say thank you for friends.
I’m pretty sad at the moment. My friends are the ones helping me get through my sadness and making sure I’m not spending my birthday (three minutes to go!) moping alone.
Thank you friends, you enrich my life and make me smile!

Apparently, inspirewithhope.com is the victim of a DOS (Denial of Service) attack. Which means some malicious person is using all my bandwidth with the explicit intention of breaking my site. :(
My hosts are looking in to it at the moment. In the meantime, the availability is going to be very flaky.
I’m so sorry; I, too, hate All Things Bright being unavailable.
