started an ecommerce business 15 months ago

i’ve ventured into a lot of businesses online—mostly in the information industry.

a couple of weeks ago i saw an opportunity in the market, and tested out demand by creating a listing on ebay. well, glad to say that there’s a HUNGRY market for this product!

for now, i’m tweaking my offer and trying to see how i can yield the highest price for my product. once i got the optimal offer as well as testing out the price that people are willing to pay for, i’ll be rolling out with a website that sells this product.

i think this is far easier than coming up with information products.. i’m not ruling out info products completely but i’ve always wanted to sell physical products.

by the time my testing phase is done on ebay, i should have a product name so i can buy a domain and start building the website (possibly outsource the design)

one lesson i’ve learned is:

don’t create demand, AMPLIFY it.

meaning, find something that people are already buying and find ways to make them want YOUR product even more.

business ideas? 15 months ago

frankly, i’m excited.

i started a blog about business ideas at http://www.pocketpreneur.com. i basically share the tons of business ideas that i get, and i’ll soon be releasing a book for subscribers on how you can come up with your own creative ideas.

it’s only been about a month, and the blog acquired a significant amount of subscribers since launch. and from the looks of it, there’s a huge possibility of turning it into a nice business that i actually care about!

my huge problem? starting too many things at once =S

to people waiting for the perfect idea before they start their own business..

take the time to realize business ideas are all around you! i think it’s more important to start something good enough rather than wait for the perfect concept. all your ducks will never be in a row, so ready fire aim!

as a matter of fact, i just started http://www.pocketpreneur.com which is a blog strictly dedicated to business ideas. i get plenty of ideas than i can do with, so i decided to share them with the rest of the world.

i believe a good idea executed properly is worth 1000000000x more than a great idea that’s sitting around nowhere.. :) now you have no more excuse for not having ideas! :p
