I really like the written word because it’s probably the best connection to someone’s exact ideas, experiences, and emotions. That’s why I love reading, and I would like to be able to write as well as the things I read. My writing honestly was at it’s best around the ages of 15-17 when I was more confident. I just want to get into writing again like how I was at that age where I didn’t judge myself so much about it.

If I were to accomplish the goal of procrastinating less, I would also resolve deeper issues.
I found out that procrastinating has become a stress-coping skill for me. Because of this, I have a very self-defeating attitude toward a lot of things. I also came to understand that I procrastinate because the quick gratification I get from doing it gives me the feeling of reassurance that I do have control over time and what happens. I am scared of the unknown.
I used to joke about procrastinating, like saying I have higher standards of it than other people. But it’s just sad now ever since I uncovered my issues.
It’s preventing me from doing the things I want to do. I’m only using it in a selfish, lazy way to make it look like I’m being productive because it passes time. But it really doesn’t.
