It was pretty cool I’m curious how red I’ll be since I usually burn, but hopefully it will add a nice base for my upcoming vacation.

It took me an hour, and no incline, but I was able to run 5 miles!! It felt great! Now I am working on speed and adding inclines/hills so I’m ready for the race in May!!
Now that I’ve lost the weight, I want to work on improving my overall nutrition (especially as I’m become more physically fit). So I’m really looking forward to reading “Eating Clean.” Has anyone else read this?
The trainer I’m working with had yesterday as my “long run day.” It was 40+ minutes at 5.0MPH, no incline on the treadmill.
I covered the treadmill controls with a towel (it’s much easier for me to run with blinders on!) and went 50 minutes, 4.5 miles. And I upped the pace for the last 5 minutes to 5.3 MPH.
I was STOKED at the end! It was an awesome feeling!
I am now officially registered for the Spring Lake 5 on Memorial Day weekend. And I have a trainer who is a runner and also a Weight Watchers lifetime member who is going to help me design a training program to get ready.
I’ve been running at the 5K distance for about a week now. I’m really excited to keep progressing!
I just did the Taebo AMPED Abs tape. It’s the new series. Wow – does it target the abs. I can’t get over what a great workout it was. And it really targeted the sides/lower back/abs region in a very direct way. It was a mixture of standing postures (twists, bends, etc.) holding a 3 lb weight bar for about 25 minutes. Then another 20 minutes of various floor exercises, still using the bar to keep the focus on the abs.
Great workout! And lots of fun!
I finally was able to run a 5K! It was at the gym, so I haven’t done it outside, but I did do it! My pace was 5.1 MPH. What a great feeling!
I started teaching Sunday School (CCD) this year. I teach 4th graders. It’s been such a rewarding experience. I love that I have the freedom to teach them in my own way. For example, when covering “Sin” we played a game called “Survivor: Temptation Island.” The kids were in tribes and had to compete in various bible-based activities based on sin. It was fun and they learned a lot!
If I can reach only one of them, I’ll be happy!
I’m going down to Florida in April and now’s the time to step it up! I have a takini already and am definately keeping it in mind when I’m at the gym.
I just worked up to a 5K on the treadmill and have upped my weight reps. Fingers crossed!
I seem to do much better at landscapes, outdoors, etc. and not so good on interiors (especially with low light). I am planning on studying and practicing a lot to get the right settings on the flash, lenses, etc.
I have to take a lot of photos for my job (marketing for a real estate company). The attached photo is one I took on a recent business trip to Korea. It is chimneys at Gyungbokdong palace.
I ran 5K yesterday (on a treadmill) for the first time and drank a lot then. But today, I didn’t drink as much and I’m SOooooo tired. Better get back with the program!
I’ve recently lost a lot of weight and my next goal is to run a 5 mile race on Memorial Day 2007. That is the one year anniversary of when I started losing weight (over 50 lbs) and getting into shape.
I have worked up to a 5K and will keep on going. I found the running wasn’t too bad, but I was so tired the next day!
I started my weight loss journey in May, 2007 and have lost over 50 lbs since then. I joined Weight Watchers (meetings) and started exercising (Taebo and a gym).
It’s the best thing I ever did!
I just tried karaoke for the first time on a recent trip to South Korea. I loved it! It’s so much fun. And it’s not about “singing.” It’s about having a good time with your friends. Plus, it’s very liberating.
I highly recommend it. And believe me, I can’t sing (well)!!
And boy, is Alanis Morrisette fun to sing!!
I am a huge fan of Billy Blanks and the Taebo workouts. I have pretty much all of them and, coupled with Weight Watchers, they are the reason I’m 50 pounds lighter.
I recently got the AMPED series and WOW – what a workout! At first I thought it was easier than the bootcamp series – boy, was I wrong! My arms and shoulders have never gotten such a workout.
Billy is very motivating and really keeps you going. And you have fun!
I joined weight watchers about 8 weeks ago. I’ve lost 15 lbs on my way to a goal of about 40 lbs. It’s been a life changing process. Sure, I’m eating better and exercising more. I expected that.
But, the one thing I didn’t expect was the benefit of the meetings. I’m a NYC marketing VP and don’t always have time for myself. Well, I make time for these meeitngs. They are inspiring, thought provoking and not just about weight management – they are about life management.
Highly recommended and IT WORKS!!!
There are yoga practices for stregth, flexibility, weight loss, inner peace, etc. With the myriad of tapes/classes out there, you can find one that’s right for you! Don’t give up!
